Friday Finds – Literacy Resources and Data

“Reading Rockets is a national multimedia literacy initiative offering information and resources on how young kids learn to read, why so many struggle, and how caring adults can help.”

This is a great website resource for literacy lessons and data to support our efforts in the school library.  There is a wealth of information and resources in this website brought to you by the folks at WETA and their partners in education.  Links to reading blogs, reading strategies, reading lessons, PBS videos, fun stuff for students, reading apps, reading podcasts, a parent tab, a teacher tab, and a LIBRARIAN tab.

There are author interviews that you can showcase in your library to promote books in your collection.  This month the website is highlighting the following books/authors:

So it is very timely and can provide programming needs.
