The strength of the American Association of School Librarians (AASL) comes from the voices and leadership of its members. Each year, election season opens; it is an opportunity for members to help shape the future of AASL by choosing member leaders who will guide the work of our association, advocate for school libraries, and support our greater school library community.

Thanks to the dedicated efforts of the AASL Leadership Development Committee, we have an outstanding slate of candidates ready to serve. I want to pass along my thanks to the member volunteers who served on the 25/26 AASL Leadership Development Committee: Blake Hopper, Catherine Fuhrman, Debbie Abilock, Elizabeth Nelson, Lori Donovan, Sherry Neal, and Kevin Washburn.
